Ph: 95000 64319.   Bhagavan Ganesha, the 'Bhagavan of Achievement and Enlightenment,' is revered as the destroyer of obstacles and negativities, and the bestower of bliss and prosperity.  The festival is marked by the installation of Ganesha idols in homes and public pandals, accompanied by chanting of vedic hymns and bhajans, pooja and aarti ceremonies, offerings of modak (kozhukattai) as prasadam. The celebrations culminate on the tenth day, Visarjana Day, with a public procession and immersion of the idols in a nearby water body.  Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and Allied Sciences (AIHMAS), Vanagaram, in collaboration with the Mohan Foundation, organised an Organ Donation awareness program on August 22 at AIHMAS campus. The motive of the program is to highlight the life-saving importance of organ donation and inspire greater participation from the community.
