Fresher’s day celebrated in Alpha Arts and Science College

Alpha Arts and Science College, (Porur) organized Fresher's orientation programme on July 7 to welcome first year students into the college. Dr. D. Ashalatha (Principal) welcomed the chief guest, members of the management, the first year students and their parents.

Purnalakshmi (Co-ordinator, shift I1) presented a profile of the institution with its curriculum, facilities and programmes. 
This was followed by a testimony by Bhuvana, an alumnus from the Department of Biochemistry, 2002 batch who shared her experiences of learning and growing at Alpha not just in terms of education, but also spiritually.

Grace George (Chairperson of the Alpha Group of Institutions) delivered the presidential address and also encouraged the first year students to have a great plan for themselves, prepare for their higher studies, build affinity towards parents, be an all-rounder, excel in skills, follow proper dress code and be a good citizen of the country.

Suja George ( Vice Chairperson of the Alpha Group of Institutions) welcomed parents and students into Alpha and briefed them about the institution, its curriculum and add-on
programmes.

Dr. Prateep V. Philip (IPS, ADGP, Civil Supplies, CID, Tamil Nadu Police) spoke in his dynamic way and encouraged students to follow 4 Ds to be successful- Devotion to God, Dedication to study, Discipline in life and Determination to achieve one's goals.
The vote of thanks was given by Geetha Ravi, (Vice Principal).
